Nachlauflenkung.png

Follow-up steering

Follow-up steering enables the axle to steer automatically whilst the vehicle is travelling forwards, thereby improving handling when cornering and enhancing the vehicle’s manoeuvrability. The smaller turning circle makes manoeuvring easier and reduces wear on tyres and the road surface. The steering axle can be hydraulically blocked for reversing.

Hydraulische Zwangslenkung.png

Hydraulic forced steering

The hydraulic forced steering system controls the steering axle directly via the steering movements of the towing vehicle. This enables tight turning manoeuvres and a high degree of manoeuvrability when travelling forwards and backwards. The active steering assistance ensures safe handling and facilitates precise manoeuvring, even in confined working areas.

Elektronische-Zwangslenkung-ESS-2.0.png

Electronic Forced Steering ESS 2.0

The ESS 2.0 electronic forced steering system controls the steering axle without the need for mechanical steering linkages. This reduces wear and maintenance requirements. At the same time, the system offers the same advantages in terms of manoeuvrability, driving stability and handling as a hydraulic forced steering system. Active steering assistance during both forward and reverse travel enables precise manoeuvring, even in confined spaces.

Brakes

Stay safe on the road, whatever the filling level

Depending on the size of the vehicle, AquaLine water tankers are available with overrun brakes or air brakes. The air brake ensures consistent and powerful braking performance. The integrated automatic load-dependent braking force control (ALB) adjusts the braking force to the current filling level of the tank and guarantees safe braking performance regardless of the load.
